Known as the poster-child for persevering all of life’s challenges through his controversial posts, Marcus Allen Brown has become a celebrated personality from Chicago, Illinois. Marcus uses his music, photography and videography as a means to express ideas, entertain, and to educate his audience. He is known for documenting his process of overcoming challenges, and presents audio and visual messages of social awareness that pierces his audience and easily transcends all languages and nationalities.
Marcus attended Harold Washington College of Chicago for digital multimedia and audio/visual engineering. After his first year of college, he decided to change fields. Marcus attended Tractor-Trailer Training at Olive Harvey College in 2007. At just 22 years of age, Marcus graduated first in his class and obtained a CDL-A license with additional Tankers, Passengers, Double-and-Triple-Trailer, and Hazardous Materials endorsements.
With a passion to acquire multiple certifications and enjoying gaining experience by working in different industries, Marcus returned to Olive Harvey College in spring of 2011 and became a State-Certified Emergency Medical Technician. He has continued to work in the transportation industry while advancing in the fields of Emergency Medical Services, Music, Photography, and more recently, Vlogging and Filmmaking.
In 2014, Marcus became a student of Lisa Canning – Founder of The Institute of Arts Entrepreneurship, and served as an active member of IAEOU’s creative-entrepreneurship workshop. Through this workshop series, MAB was introduced and has teamed up with Brand Strategist, Patrice K. Cokley, MBA of The Bassline Group, to launch his very own website, The MAB Experience, which serves as the centralized online hub for all of Marcus’ narratives and creative works.

Random Fact 1: The MAB Experience Logo alludes to two icons shown together:
– A mixer dial which denotes music/audio
– A viewfinder which denotes film/video
WIth Music & video being two of my favorite pastimes, I thought it’d only be right to incorporate them into a logo with an abstract appeal. Only the cool people can figure out what it is on their own.
Random Fact 2: I was inspired by my younger brother Kelso to become a vegetarian. I officially became a vegetarian on January 1st 2010. I may go vegan one day but pasta & pizza are still two of my guilty pleasures.
Random Fact 3: I’m a proud truck driver of 10 years! I started driving tractor-trailers (18-wheelers) at 21 years old. Ironically I considered taking up truck driving while I was working as a traffic director. I hated when trucks had to make sharp turns on Ashland & Cermak by the train tracks (we used to have to stop drivers in the left turning lanes ahead of time to prevent grid lock during rush hour). Eventually, I started talking to different drivers at the red lights; asked what the driving jobs were paying, went to Olive Harvey College Truck Driving School, got my CDL-A License with PTX Endorsements and the rest is history.
I was driving trucks before I owned my first car lol.
Random Fact 4: I’ve been making music since I was in 8th grade (although I can’t remember any of it today). This was before everybody was a rapper (yes a long time ago). It gave me a way to “fit in” as I wasn’t plugged in a gang and I sucked at virtually all sports; thus, I was known “shorty that be rappin”. It pretty much saved my ass growing up. Nowadays, I rarely rap, but I may put out a mixtape every once in a blue moon.
Random Fact 5: On August 11th 2012, I walked in on an ex-girlfriend in bed with another guy. I recorded the drama with my cellphone and posted it online. Less than 24 hours later it went viral gaining over 2 million views on www.worldstarhiphop.com and thousands of views on other sites. I then turned around & got back with her (of course that didn’t work out). After being “lost in the sauce” long enough, I decided to fall back & dedicate myself to a life-long quest for knowledge and self-improvement. Since then, I’ve achieved freedom from consumer-debt, stress and gyno-centric social demands. I work to become a plumbline in the midsts of others who are in situations similar to the one I placed myself in years ago. I want to raise awareness of a more simple, stress-free way of living without entering toxic-obligations and unintentional “situationships”.
